Summer Edition 2025

For the 4th edition, the WTF dreamed big.
With more teams than ever before, we welcomed new players from new countries.

Well, Walt Disney once said:

“If you can dream it, you can do it.”

And this time, it just happened to be true!

With two Czech teams and a fresh new Swiss team, the tournament became even more international, and the fun level went up another notch.

This 4th edition was also the first to feature a more FIT rules–oriented format, bringing new touch experts into the mix.

The sun was shining, everything was ready for a great day of rugby.

After our traditional pain en chocolat from Paremi and warm-up the day could begin with the pool phases.

On one side :

  • Gents
  • Pillagers
  • Benchwarmers
  • The C U Monday
  • and the Pink Panthers

On the other side :

  • The Expendables
  • The Untouchable
  • The Tatra United
  • The Youngsters
  • And The Banden Banditos

After some very contested games we have a set-up for the afternoons finals.

The Pillagers, the Gents and the Banditos and the Expendables will play the semi finals.

After some very contested games, the Baden Banditos and the Expendables are still in for the ultimate title. And what a final that was.

The final will remains the most epic WTF final till this day, as after an extremly close game we ended up in tie.

Most of the officials were already done with their third beer, and it was time to gather the collective brains to answer the 1-million euro question :

“WTF do we do now?” – Collective thinkers

Well, there is rule for that, it’ s a golden try with extra time.

So we played it, and still both teams are tied.

Forth beers has been consumed by the Rules Congres members by now..

” Let’s remove players then “

5vs 5 for 1 minute – Still tied.

4vs 4 for 1 minute – Still tied

3 vs 3 for 1 minute – …

And finally the Expendables scores the winning try ! What a relief for everybody ! We will eat the BBQ on time..

The rest of the day was fullfilled with the BBQ, the traditional petanque tournament and some rugby watching. Classic, but still good.

See you next year !
